The R. tunquinensis are growing very well considering they have been frosted several times already. Some of the other crosses which I have done this year, out of 2"tubes and into 6"pots. The R. tunquinensis are the larger ones.

A few of the seedlings are now going into the garden plots.
Seedlings O8 P9 and R. tunquinensis. Those which are still in pots are Hybrid Mulitflora and Hybrid Musk crosses.

Here is thornless line I am working on, using pollinator P50 has given me offspring which are completely thornless with good health, even at an early stage the seedling shows good flowering possibilities . The second seedling is a Whiz Kid X F1 rugosa.

Hybrid Musk and Hybrid Multiflora planted out in the growing out beds. I am very happy with the growth of these 3 month old seedlings. This is 50% of these lines planted , the other 50% will probably be planted over the weekend.

For those who like diploid roses. Here are two China roses which I pollinated with “Étoile de La Glanerie” a Hybrid Musk. The first is the China rose “Old Blush” O14 N2, the second is the China rose “Ten Thousand Lights” O19 N2. The last pic is the pollinator, it forms these blooms in very large clusters.

This is a seedling of McClinton Tea X polyantha type full double derived from using Kathleen. At a very young age the urge to produce abundant buds is visible, I will let one bloom and the rest will be cut off to promote growth. The growth looks very Tea like. The first pic is of the seedling, the second is the polyantha pollinator.

Here are a couple of Hybrid Musk/Multiflora seedlings which germinated in May 2015.
The first is a seedling from Robe Fleurie, this little seedling is almost thornless. The second is from Princesse Violette, a multiflora hybrid. Both are displaying very good vigour and health.

A very healthy seeding derived from “Red Ballerina” Harkness.
EIS 9.jpg

Hi Warren, I would like to see the outcome of this “Seedling EIS 9”, if the leaves stay as healthy as it is now, it could be a winner. Well done.

Thanks David

The first seedling EDH 8 is a seedling derived from Francis E Lester, the second seedling EDH 17 is one from Princesse Violette. Both are producing a large amount of buds even at this young age.
