Lyn Griffith emailed me to say all of the 2011 rose registrations are now up on HMF. Unfortunately, many lack any plant characteristic details because the ARS hasn’t updated the MR 12 database and they’re no longer publishing the registrations in the magazine. “Talk about the dark days of roses”.
Hopefully, this won’t cause great inconvenience with the users and will encourage those who know the information to contribute it.
Many of the breeders on this forum already know that you can have your HMF user name tied to the roses with your breeder name and you can add plant details and linage to the rose page.
For those of you who have not asked the webmaster of HMF to set your user name up for you to update your roses, please just use the CONTACT US tab and contact the support department.
If, for any reason you do not want to do the data input on your roses, my HMF user name is “Lyn G”. Just send the information to me in a PM (Private Message) by clicking on HMF Members, entering “Lyn G” in the search field, clicking on my member name, then click on the SEND PM button, and I will be happy to add the information to the rose page.

Kim and I finally contacted Marily at the ARS about the MR 12 database. I am very sorry to report that the problem was on my end … it’s embarassing.
I was trying to speed up the entry process with a copy and paste, but the MR 12 database does not recognize a rose name that has been copied into the SEARCH field. The name has to be typed into the field. My error.
I’ll get the rest of the information about the recently registered roses into HMF as soon as I can.
I am sorry for blaming the ARS when it was really my error. Ooops !
