The most annoying are those that take an eternity to open, and one afternoon to blow.
Maybe switch to bloom frequence lightsource. Maybe it gives a boost.
Here you can find information. They also have a meter app for your phone.
It’s definitely pink, but a lighter shade on the inner surface of the petals. Looks to be a single too. (Harrumph)
Curiously, none of these seedlings show signs of thorns yet, along the stems OR under the leaves. I don’t trust this to continue to be the case, but wouldn’t it be nice?
Looking good!! Wondering what the size will be!
It has electron running for the hills … hope it stays
I’d venture to say that the anticipation is the best part of the majority of my seedlings.
Standing. Freaking. “O”.
The fall is almost perilous; I’m unstable to start with. That build up IS delicious though!
So as I clipped off the offending blossom, I was struck by a sweet, spicy, warm scent! REPRIEVE ENOUGH.
Just enough, for now.
Here it goes again, with a second blossom. I topped up the root-cell with some more soil, and am counting the days til we are frost-free, so these can get transferred outside.
I’ll also be checking closer on the fragrance this time around, since I missed it until clipping off the spent flower last time! No signs of flower buds on any of the others, with one too-tall & becoming thorny seedling already pulled and tossed.
They’ve all moved into individual pots outside now, and the three remaining NON-precocious bloomers were moved again, into 1g pots. They all show basal-growth coming. Should be fun!
EDIT: the little bleh-pink seedling now has a bud developed outside; will it be any different than under artificial lights? Let’s freakin’ HOPE SO.
Still no signs of buds on the other three, but THIS is the weirdest bloom yet on Lil Precocious! The plant remains very dwarf and mounding, flowers with quick repeat, and yet it seems unwilling to settle down and be consistent in number of petals or colour/pattern except that it’s all variations on pink. This time the pink has a strange purpleness overlapping, and streaks of white?!
Bizarro World, come get your plant.
