The article “Bounce fabric softener dryer sheets repel fungus gnat, Bradysia sp. nr. coprophila (Diptera: Sciaridae), adults” (HortScience 45:1830-1833) was the most downloaded article in HortScience four months in a row, and the most accessed article ever in any of the journals published by the American Society for Horticultural Science.
This discovery, which may actually be amongst “Hints from Heloise” that you’ve already seen, says something about what we put on our clothes. Unfortunately I am acutely allergic to the scent in these things. So I won’t be doing a follow-up. But maybe George could find it useful if such stuff is sold on the far side of the date line.
