Summer Pollination

Summer is well underway in my area. The day time temps are in the 90’s. At what temp does pollination fail. I am still interested in making some more crosses.

John, I’ve had no luck when temps get into the 90’s (only occasional take). No harm trying, though. Try to pollinate on days when it’s cooler, shade the bloom and maybe do it in the early evening. And let us know how you do. Experiment a bit. What zone are you in?

Thanks Judith. Tried a few yesterday. I’m kinda on the line of zone 8/9 very near the Gulf coast.
