After 90 days in an unheated garage Z3a Alberta, a few open pollinated arkansana and spinosissima had already germinated before bringing them indoors (February 26). None of the crosses have germinated so far.

So this March I came across wild spinomissa, which I never had before. I found some of last year’s hips on the bushes and stratified them until now. I opened up the paper towels and many had germinated/ damage to their roots. They have been put into seed trays and I will monitor and baby intently to see if there are any strong ones!
