Abstract: "The effects of microwave radiation of Isatis indigotica with different time length on germination ratio, activity of amylase, activity of ALT, activity of AST, activity of proteases, concn. of sol. protein, free amino acid concn., DNA concn., cotyledon area and biophoton emission were studied using the seeds being irradiated with microwave after soaked for 3 h. The results showed that microwave radiation treatments with different time length could improve the germination ratio, activity of amylase, activity of ALT, activity of AST, activity of proteases, concn. of sol. protein, free amino acid concn., DNA concn., cotyledon area and biophoton emission. And the microwave radiation of low doses could stimulate the seeds germination and improve the cotyledon development. The effect of 8 s pretreatment of microwave therein mentioned was the best for Isatis indigotica fort. "
