Seeds of 'The Gift'

Our ‘The Gift’ is loaded with seeds this fall and I’m tempted to harvest them and grow them for rootstock. Has anyone done this with success or …less than success?

And because I’m curious, any thoughts about my getting repeat bloomers or just R. multiflora?

I’d do it just for the fun. Ya never know till ya try really.

I’ve gotten some nice open pollinated seedlings from The Gift, but a lot of the seedlings were chlorotic.

I had pollinated R. blanda with it, but none of the seeds germianted…
