Abstract: “The luminescent Rosaceae, esp. rose, is prepd. by transformation of the plant with luciferase gene. Construction of plasmid pBE2113H-LUC harboring luciferase gene of Photinus pyralis, transformation of leaf disk by recombinant Agrobacterium tumefaciens, regeneration of transgenic plant, etc., were shown. The transgenic rose shows luminescence in flower, leaf and stem which can be obsd. within 2-3 m in the presence of luciferin.”
