Don’t worry, this WEC run has had positive outcomes, even though these were not to do with having a live seedling in the end…LOL!!
Out of this run, I have learned so much more now about rose embryos, and how some of them are showing what I think might be a true “embryo dormancy”, (like I wrote above). In the past, I would have passed this result off as an inherent failure of the WEC protocol, or “bad embryos”. Clearly there is a lot more to it!
I would love to know how one can induce such dormant rose embryos to get going.
Any ideas, anyone?!
