This is probably a stupid question… However is it possible to breed repeat blooming into Rosa canina and it’s hybrids? I especially like the idea of sweet briar/canina hybrids being able to repeat bloom due to the potential for nice smelling foliage.

Per HMF, there are two first generation canina hybrids with some repeat bloom: Abbottswood and Una.
Then there are a larger number of second generation hybrid canina that repeat.

I don’t know about which ones might have scented foliage though.
