Oopsie. . . I just read yesterday that it means it’s been pollinated. (Can you tell I’m really a newbie, like kindergarten?) I guess the bumblebees or lady bugs did it as I didn’t get time to do it myself.

Does anyone have any comments on how Gold Medal and Color Magic are as mommies as those are the ones the huge hips are on? I have no idea who the daddies are!

I live in Portland, Oregon and the weather is mild here for probably another month or two (maybe three depending on doG). How do I tell when the hip is ripe?

Gold Medal has been a pretty good seed parent for me. I don’t have any experience with Color Magic. You can pick the hips when they start to change color. Good luck!
