Jim, you also have the opportunity to create xeriscape roses if ya can figure out how to keep them frm perishing randomly =/ !

Yeah, I would expect crosses between Hulthemia hybrids and minutifolia to have good possibilities in xeriscape, but I think you’re right. The plants would probably be picky about too much water and during a dry season would probably look dead. Not sure many people would like that!

Maybe incorporating both wichurana and californica down the road would increae both rooting/callusing, UV_proof foliage/stems, which retaining the xeriscape qualities without retaining the arid dormancy issue.
