I bought a 5X Magnifier Clamp-On Gooseneck Magnifying Glass Lens 3 1/2" on ebay for under $20. I figure that should be enought to work with pollen/anthers on miniatures.
Had a 5-10-30, the 30 never worked and the 10 was not nearly enough. Neil

My Magic Wand F1 is in full bloom and I see anthers. I’m guessing the F1 is a diploid and if I can get pollen from it I was thinking of putting it on Therese Bugnet and hope for a miniature TB with the disease resistance and hardiness.
A lot of their stuff is junk, but at the price, this head-strap magnifier might be worth looking at.
Not enough mag. Philip. A lot of pollen is smaller than the size of a period on this page and it is hard to tell if it is a fragment or what and some long pollen may just be a chain. Neil
