Looks pretty cool – I think I’d like to try it this year. Can you suggest and good sources for hormone sprays?
Joseph Tychonievich
I do not understand why my titles get cut off???
Joe, a local nursery has a good supply of hormone type products. For example, they carry “Bonide Tomato and Blossom Set Spray”. This a a kinetin based spray. Note, there is a similar name for a calcium based product - check the list of ingredients. The active ingredient is listed as “cytokinin, as kinetin, based on Biological activity” 0.00008 %. It comes in an 8 ounce spray bottle.
The gibberellic acid spray I am presently using is called “Super Plant Growth Hormone Spray”. I think that I got it over the internet from www.mellingers.com . The active ingredient is listed as 0.005% gibberellic acid. It comes in an 8 ounce spray bottle (the picture that they show on their web page is wrong).
A list of products that contain Gibberellic acid can be found at: http://www.epa.gov/pesticides/biopesticides/product_lists/chemical-product-7-3-02.pdf
A good source of information and the pure product is found at:
