I was not at all expecting that pale peach one!? What a nice surprise.
I will wait until these four open completely before I decide which ones to keep.
It’s hard to photograph at this point, but the rightmost one looks like it has a vegetative center, and I’m not a big fan of those. But I will wait and see before judging.

Three of them have opened.
The first one is the most vigorous and floriferous (I cut off this bloom right after it opened and the two side branches immediately made two new buds one week later. Mild fragrance like her parent. Keeping this one.
Second one: so many petals, but as I suspected, a bit of vegetation in the center. Barely there fragrance. Keep, I guess.
Third one. Weird shape, weak growth, no scent. Not keeping it. It’s easier than I thought to get rid of some of these.

It becomes really easy, honestly. All it takes it trying to care of too many things, and suddenly the compost is full!
Hi SeasideRooftop. Thank you for posting the photos of your newest roses. That first, peachy vigorous one is going to be amazing. As for that bud with the proliferation in its center, yes, that can be weird looking, but I hope you keep it through a couple of bloom cycles. The reason is, a young plant of Abraham Darby I have sometimes makes a yukky proliferated bloom. I just snap it off as soon as I notice it and go on to enjoy one of the best roses ever developed. Maybe your ugly duckling is just starting to grow up.

I will definitely keep that one and watch how she does as she grows. The vigor is not great, she’s kind of been stagnating since I cut that flower off, but I will wait and watch.
Still have a few more to come from this batch, I will post them here when they bloom.
Seedling 1 has bloomed again:
It seems to want to develop a pink edge, and I like it.
Fragrance is mild. But the vigor is crazy, this one is twice as big as the others and has a thick basal you can sort of see shooting up in the back.
