We are aware of the issues with our website and we are working to move the website to a new website hosting provider. The process is complex and time consuming but we are almost ready to make the move. It will require the website be offline for 2 to 3 hours during the move.
The new website hosting service account is significantly more powerful and spacious.
Meanwhile,… we apologize for the inconvenience through this difficult time. Aspects of our website’s performance and reliability appear to be out of our control sense our old hosting provider company was sold to another.
FYI, recently, HMF become the target of very coordinated and earnest attacks to disrupt our website. We continue to address these efforts but it’s a bit like playing wack-a-mole as we lock down different avenues of attack. We are making progress and of course we apologize for the inconvenience and frustration (here too).

Not to be the curmudgeon constantly griping about a service I cherish, but the “remember me" auto sign-in option for hmf still hasn’t worked for me for months, though it is clearly selected for my account. I do a search, find I have been logged off, have to go to the sign-in page, have to redo the search…
I wrote to ask hmf about it a little while ago but have not heard back.
Is this a setting on my device, or still a block created to avoid virus issues? I think the failing to remember me occurred around the same time that my bookmarks to some roses on the site stopped functioning.

I’ve also traditionally left HMF running so I could access it as desired. Work continues in the rewrite of the ENTIRE site to make it compatible with the new server and its security. Each time the site is worked on, it appears we get signed out. Each time the site is brought down to interrupt a hacking attack, we’re signed out. Nothing is going to be as we’re used to until all the construction is complete and that will require a LOT more time. It’s pretty much a “grin and bear it” situation.
Is there a way to pay my membership fee? The Paypal link has been broken every time I’ve tried.
Not yet. The PayPal interface still requires re writing. The official word is no Premium Memberships will expire until the interface is restored. Everyone whose membership would be up for renewal will receive a renewal notice. Until then, don’t worry about it. HMF is aware and working on it.
Thanks. I suspect the frustrations might not be conducive to membership retention nor enrollment.
(I wonder if they might be merit in creating a two-tiered system with advertisers supporting the free users so hmf could get funds to hire a tech contractor to address these issues in a timely manner?)
It’s funny about the “remember me”. I keep an old iPad (like iOS 10) by my bed, and will often check before I go to sleep. The tab I leave HMF on always remembers me, whereas my new iPad will get logged out after an hour or so.
Still waiting 6 months later for paid premium membership to be activated. Guess l will consider the fee paid to be a charitable contribution to help get the wheels back on the wagon.

oh that is why i need to log in a lot lately.
It has not been my intention to besmirch our beloved HMF, but I do worry that their priorities might potentially create an unsustainable resource. I have watched far too many resources vanish in the past, and the “way back machine" has very limited (and frustrating) functionality.
I hope I am being fearful for naught.
(I honestly wonder how (or why) the Houzz/Gardenweb forum stays active. It must serve as some sort of loss-leader for their business. I have often seen the (freeloading) members there complaining about all matter of issues of that free forum.)
Doing spring ordering today and found fastest and best way to access hmf and have it work efficiently for finding a rose was sign into google, type in rose name then find link to hmf and get in to rose info..
I pretend to be be joe - Q public. Before using id didnt find any of the de la hay haie etc.. worked after every time l tried through google.
Old way, I assumed it logged me out of my id as mentioned above to protect my account and hmf.
Order in … going to be a happy spring.
I stay logged in if I go through the splash page. If I click through to a rose page from google it logs me out.
Bizzare l can still do it.
Googled red dawn x suzanne. google brought up Hmf plus other links. Clicked, hmf link, up came “rose” page for RDxSuzanne. Then hit hmf search tab and entered Dr fl skinner. Hit Enter and it went to normal hmf rose page for the good dr.. HMF picture index tab worked as saw my pictures.
They must of not found me im hmf programming blocks. I use vpn and my country the day flavour -use cell.
