Free rose seed

Please follow the following procedures:

  1. Please reply by e-mail (kuska@neo.rr.com ).

  2. Please send a different e-mail for each request (makes putting into folders straight forward).

  3. Please make sure the name of the rose is on the request.

  4. Please give your name and post office address in a form that I can simply cut out and tape to the package.

  5. Because I use a priority selection process based on when a request is received, please do not send blanket requests (“send me all”) or future requests (“if you decide to distribute XXXXXXX, please send me some”). The only time I do not follow the priority selection process of “first in - highest priority” is if the person requesting had sent me one of the parents in that particular cross.

  6. I will send to other countries, but I clearly mark the outside of the package with: “Contents, Rose Seeds”. Any procedures your country has must be satisfied by you.

Hallo Henry,

your pictures at picasa are lovely.

I see that you have been working with Calocarpa and I have a question on this.

Did you get repeat flowering seedlings from your crosses?

Are all your Calocarpa seedlings armed with thorns?

I have a seedling Calocarpa op.(2007). It is thornfree and very healthy. It has not flowered yet. I am very keen to use it in breeding and so I am very interested to hear about your experiences in breeding with Calocarpa.

Best wishes Ulrike

The seeds were shipped yesterday. Some of the batches were very popular. I tried to satisfy as many requesters as possible, but with some batches I would have had to go to such small batches they they would of no longer been meaningful if I sent them to all requesters.

Rather than picking “alternates” for those requests that I could not fill, I decided to list what is left and open the distribution for a second round. I may not get these filled quickly as Thanksgiving and Christmas activities will have first priority.

Dear Sir, I am interested in your seed of the mixed Rugosa crosses. I grow many other species of plants . My main interest is in finding plants that are desirable for Bonsai. The Rugosa is a tough hardy species and I like it’s characteristics. I have been looking for seed of Rugosa. Do you know of other sources for this seed. I would like to get some soon so I will have it stratified by spring. Thank very much, Stephen

lots of peeps on ebay sell rugosa seed (along with some other species also).
