First Banksia Bracteata Hybrid

I got my first germination of ‘Riverbanks’ x ‘Star Dust’ this morning.

The seedling is just emerging so I’ll probably record the germination for the cross tomorrow.

I’ve been anticipating a cross like this ever since I got my first banks hybrid.

I’m very surprised it was accomplished so quickly.

I was thinking of you yesterday and it occured to me that there are no banksia/sempervirens hybrids. This seems somewhat similar in nature.

Actually the cross of Riverbanks x Silver Dawn involves sempervirens through Bonica.
