Dybvig Seed Cleaner ????

In an interesting article on R. Woodsii http://www.nativeplantnetwork.org/network/view.asp?protocol_id=196 I found the following: “seeds are easily extracted from fruit by maceration using a Dyb-vig cleaner and are washed and screened.” Seeds and easily are usually not found in the same sentence where roses are concerned. Does anyone have any experience with one of these?

A simple google search reveals that at least one model sells for $2150.00. The price is well beyond my budget, but it made me wonder if a smaller single use machine could be a practical project???

Please share your thoughts.

Robert
