I cnaged my mind, I would try something like Red Fairy x (Happy x Rosa chinensis ‘Sanguinea’) instead if I were going for a diploid red line. This is under the assumption that Red Fairy is diploid, which seems likely.
Paul, I took a picture of a Q-Tip dipped in pollen and another picture of using my finger. The Q tip looked like it just soaked up the pollen.
