Comments on these two Hybrid Giganteas?

Oh no, Betsy! I’m sorry. Prickly cucumber is terrible! I dug as many as I could before resorting to a hose end sprayer and a gallon of Round Up concentrate. I HATE those things! The squirrels LOVE the seeds, not necessarily to eat, but to PLANT! Kim

Naga Belle has been disease free with me, though my climate is pretty dry. It blooms its head off in its first year, seriously pink flowers, long spiraled buds that open beautifully, but also have a “different” look to them. The gigantea heritage can maybe be seen in its slightly pendulous foliage and maybe the airy clusters of large blooms. Hard to put my finger on it, but it is arrestingly, oddly different from my many other roses. I’d be interested in the opinions of other growers.

Naga Belle has been a good grower and decently resistant to black spot in my no-spray Georgia garden. I’ve had for several years.
