climber or bush rose

I have my first germination of an OP climber. I only got two hips and 9 total seeds and 2 have germinated on the same day approximately 2 weeks ago. One is double the height of the other and I am wondering if that is an indication it is a climber while the other being more compact at this stage is probably a bush rose. Is it too early to assume whether they are climbers or bush type at this age??

John,

It is far too early to make assumptions about the adult growth habit of your seedlings. In fact, don’t assume too much about their adult size until at least year two of their lives!
