Abstract: “The article features some rose cultivars bred by Doctor Griffith Buck who spent his horticulture research and teaching career at Iowa State University from 1948 to 1985. His about 90 cultivars are popular for growing in the colder regions of the United States and Canada. His first cultivar, Applejack was developed by crossing Goldbusch with the Josef Rothmund x Rosa laxa selection.”
