breeding goal

I assume that there is a lot of breeding towards the goal of rose rosette resistance.
A possible alternate (less crowded field) goal could be resistance to rose midge. Apparently, the rose midge is proving difficult to control with to safe chemical treatments.

The following rose appears to be a good breeding starting point for rose midge resistant roses. It is supposed to be very resistant to rose midge.

Thanks, Henry. Question…where does one buy this? It seems only available and grown in Europe. Any information whether any of its offspring are also midge resistant?

The Help-Me-Find states: "Introduced in United States by Stark Bros. in 2009 as ‘Pink Lady’.

Stark Bros is no longer offering this rose, unfortunately
