Is it worth including in a breeding program? Would it be a good match to cross with a rose such as Crepuscule? I really want to start my own program someday, and I like the toughness of both of these roses. I reccently planted Crepuscule, and I was wondering if Arethusa would be a good " pairing" if they were to be crossed together someday. I know some roses are genetically not compatible, but I am not familiar with the gene count that goes with each cultivar? Are they even suitable in the first place?
